siblings in hospital after csec?

after my section on thursday will my other children be allowed to come into the recovery room and see the baby? at my pre op today they said that because its flu season that kids are sometimes not allowed in labor and delivery!! i hope thats not the case since my children who are 8 and 5 are sooo excited to see the baby as soon as she is born..

My son was aloud to come in once I was out of recovery and in my room. He was almost 3 at the time.

My children werent allowed in recovery. My husband waited until I was back in my room before we had my sister bring them up.

Probably not in recovery. But when you're in your actual room, maybe. It depends on your hospital policy. Especially during RSV and flu season.

In my hospital ONLY siblings are allowed, one at a time. No other kids under the age of 12. Since DD has a different last name then me (my maiden name) I need DH to bring her birth certificate to prove she's not just a random family member and she's my other child.

I don't know about in the recovery room, how ever my daughter was waiting in the hall for us when I was going back to my room.

My first was a c-section but DH has some siblings who were only 4, 6 and 8 and they came to visit as soon as I was in recovery. With my newest addition I didnt have a section but my 3 year old was in the room visiting as I was being stitched up.
