breastfeeding question

I had ice cream yesterday at 3pm then chinese at 7pm. At 12pn today baby started acting stick and throwing up. It's 3pm and what ever is going on had reached full fierce of screaming and v throwing up. . Could it be what I ate yesterday. . Or is that out of my system?

possibly something in the chinese?? but most likely something you ate today IF it's something from you at all. Might be that the baby is just sick with something else.

Have you been around anyone with the flu?
Maybe your little one caught it. Or is your little one sensitive to dairy? I know certain foods to avoid that make my little one gassy and fussy but I have never had him throw up consistently from it.

Is he fevered? Anything else seem to be bugging him?

No fever. . Lots of think saliva. Only thing I have had since last night was a pop tart and juice. Which I have had before. She is slightly sensitive to dairy. And I have never had a banana split before. But that was 24 hours ago.. As for sick. Hubby was sick friday

Possibly your little one caught what your husband had. My little one is sick right now. Lots of mucous which causes him to gag and spit up sometimes.
Just make sure your little one has wet diapers and try to keep her comfortable. Is she throwing up a lot? Poor girl.
How old is she? Is she old enough for Tylenol or Advil?

The throwing up was when she first woke up. Then I tried to give her gripe water and she gagged which just started a chain reaction of throwing up. She is finely calm and nursing herself to sleep right now. . Guess we will see how she is when she wakes up

Sounds like maybe her throat is sore or she has excess mucous???? My son is 7 months and we gave him a bit of Advil and that helped.
That's good she is nursing. Hopefully it all stays in. Hope she feels better.

you gave a 7m old Advil? I don't think they are supposed to have medicine that young.

Our doctor gave us infant Advil to give to him with the correct dosage for his weight.

oh ok. whew. I've never known Advil to be prescribed for infants, but I guess it can be.
