Flying.. Questions?

posted 12th Feb
Im flying (first time ever) in 11 days to see my bestie! Im 21 weeks pregnant and I take weekly 17p shots. I have a nurse that comes once a week to my home to give them to me... she told me she is going to get ahold of someone in Flordia to give me a shot down there but I need to take my needle (which is a baggy that has a syringe, wipes, etc..) & take my dose of med for that week! Will that be an issue? It has my name on it! Well the lil baggy that has the needle dont but I have a black bag that my meds are in that has my name on it. She said bring it with it! My BD & My 23 month old son is coming me with me as well. What some ideas to try & get him to behave? lol Its a 2 hour flight.. Can I bring snacks for him?

You need to call the airline and ask about what their policy is. They likely will need a doctor's note to fly with a syringe (why can't the Florida doctor use their syringe?). You can usually bring meds with you as long as it has your name on it. Also, I take a bag with kid stuff-Crayolas/papers/coloring book (I use the Color Wonder pens and paper so it doesn't create a mess and they can't mark up furniture, clothing, themselves, etc), toys they haven't had before (keeps 'em occupied for longer), paci if LO still uses one, and snacks for the kids. I also have Benadryl gummies depending on how long the flight is because sometimes they will just refuse to sleep on a plane. Yes, it's medicating them. And no, I do not feel guilty. It's just a decongestant. You can't take liquid with you unless it's formula/milk but you can buy juice or whatever once in the airport. If your LO drinks milk, try to get it before boarding on the plane because the plane doesn't always have milk on board. Good luck mama! Traveling while pregnant with your other LO may be frazzling but you can do it!

Because the company that my insurance buys from sends me what I need ahead of time. Like I get 1-2 month supply at each time. The nurse that works for the company and comes here told me I need to bring it not for sure. Ugh! Idk what to do. Should I call orbitz or the the air place im traveling with? Yea! I plan on bringing him a paci, hoping to bring some goldfish (lil snacks etc), & bring a notepad where he can watch some toons. Hoping that helps! What is that bendaryl gummies never heard of that.. & Why in the world cant they have milk?
