Quoting Gage's Mom+(21 weeks):" Im flying (first time ever) in 11 days to see my bestie! Im 21 weeks pregnant and I take weekly 17p shots. ... [snip!] ... me with me as well. What some ideas to try & get him to behave? lol Its a 2 hour flight.. Can I bring snacks for him?"
You need to call the airline and ask about what their policy is. They likely will need a doctor's note to fly with a syringe (why can't the Florida doctor use their syringe?). You can usually bring meds with you as long as it has your name on it. Also, I take a bag with kid stuff-Crayolas/papers/coloring book (I use the Color Wonder pens and paper so it doesn't create a mess and they can't mark up furniture, clothing, themselves, etc), toys they haven't had before (keeps 'em occupied for longer), paci if LO still uses one, and snacks for the kids. I also have Benadryl gummies depending on how long the flight is because sometimes they will just refuse to sleep on a plane. Yes, it's medicating them. And no, I do not feel guilty. It's just a decongestant. You can't take liquid with you unless it's formula/milk but you can buy juice or whatever once in the airport. If your LO drinks milk, try to get it before boarding on the plane because the plane doesn't always have milk on board. Good luck mama! Traveling while pregnant with your other LO may be frazzling but you can do it!
