Ive been trying with no results... its hard my metabolism is like non exsistant.. I already follow a strict diet because of acid reflux and ibs.I work out an 1 a day...trust me i have been trying everything possible....

Ask you ob at least if he can prescribe metformin. It isn't just for ttc. PCOS can cause insulin resistance and the metformin helps with that. The insulin resistance can making losing weight very hard with pcos. The metformin along with diet and exercise help!

I agree. When I was ttc and it didn't work after 1.5 years I dedicated my spare time to losing weight. I lost 20 lbs and got preg in 4 mos. I was taking clomid but i think I may have gotten preg without it cause it made me then hyper ovulate which I now regret (it's a long scary story). But anyhow, yeah.

Aw, I'm sorry. Have you tried any of those vitamin things like "fertile aid?"
I've heard great things about it.

How long have you been trying??
I have PCOS also and it took a year and half. We were actually going to get on meds last may, but we ended up getting pregnant at the end of 2011 on our own. I honestly tell everyone it was bc my husband got in a car wreck. He had to have multiple x-rays CAT scans and MRI's and then boom we get pregnant not even 2 weeks after all of that happened.
Just keep calm don't put a lot of stress and pressure on yourself every little thing can throw you off kilter. Sending good vibes your way!!

im going to call my regular doctor tommorow and see if i can get into see her to talk to her about at least the metaformin. I know she wont give me clomid.Hyperovulation is my greatest fear. I mean if it happens it happens. but I would prefer a singleton

Where abouts in Ontario are you? My OB deals with a lot of my issues that deal with pregnancy. I'm sorry things are taking so long. I know how frustrating it can be to get into specialists around here.

it will be two years this june then before that it was almost a year. I was in a wreck almost a year ago on the 26th. I just quit my job so that stress isnt going to be there anymore( harassment issues) But the accident did make me depressed so that probably has contributed to it. I was in a leg brace from feb -aug. but now that is done and pain is less Ive been working my ass off trying to loose weight.

Metformin may do the trick! This is exactly what my dr had me do. He put me on metformin and birth control in July. I ended it at the beginning of August and shortly later started my period. Then he had me buy 14 first response opk's and told me to start them cycle day 5 even if I was on my period still. I did this and got a positive August 18th but it was my daughters bday so I was tired and didnt have sex that night. I had sex the next night and got my first bfp August 25 (a week after the opk).

I know someone who grew up there. But anyways I hope you are able to get help. I'm pretty sure my OB can prescribe those types of things. But I guess they are trying to figure out why first???

It wouldn't have been bad if I would have had a normal twin preg. But I am very grateful one twin ended up being a vanishing one because otherwise my stressful complicated preg would have been 100x worse.
