Spotting at 9 weeks

I've been having spotting on and off. Yesterday it was a little red, but has been brown for the most part. I was told my cervix is shut and its not coming from there. I also saw baby measuring perfect with a heart rate of 169. She said it was a threatened miscarriage. Does anyone have similar stories with positive outcomes?

Have u had sex recently? And having a closed cervix doesn't prevent you from spotting. My cervix was nice and long and closed up tight and I bled a few times from placenta previa.

Have you had sex recently? If not, have you had your progesterone levels tested?

With my daughter I had period flow bright red bleeding and some clots from 4.5 weeks to 8 weeks. They figure out why I was bleeding but I have a healthy 2.5 year old now. Good luck!

it's really common to spot in the first trimester (50% of women do it)... w/out it necessarily being anything serious, although it can become serious if the flow increases.

i've been doing the same - very lightly for over two weeks now, but my HCG levels are fine (i'm seven weeks right now) and the spotting is decreasing a lot in the past two days.

i'm fairly optimistic that everything is fine.

I'm almost 10 weeks and had threatened miscarriage for bleeding at 4 weeks 2 days. Baby is still healthy and growing perfectly   Good luck mama

I haven't had sex recently. Also, I am taking 100 mg progesterone suppositories at night. I am really praying this is nothing and everything is fine!

With my sons I had spotting from about 6-9 weeks. With my youngest they told me I was having a threatened miscarriage. Due to spotting and my progesterone level only being at 8.2 They gave me 200mg pills to take daily til I was past 12 weeks. He is now 19 months old.

I was having bleeding and it turned out I have a polyp on my cervix. They didn't see it at my ultrasound at 7 weeks but saw it during a pelvic exam at about 10 weeks.

Maybe you have a subchrionic hemorrhage?? I had one when I was pregnant with my daughter which caused me to bleed the whole first trimester. My baby was fine just had spotting on and off. Good luck!!  

Karly, with my daughter i spotted constantly bc of the progesterone irritating my cervix. I did that for the entire 12weeksi was on them, and then i spotted several times throughout the second and third trimester. I just avoided sex during pregnancy, tried not to stand for long periods of time or lift anything heavy. I'm praying for you Karly

I had spotting on and off, especially in the first trimester too. The US was always normal and everything was fine. I did discover I was having twins. Other than that, they had no explanation and I was just told that it happens to some for no reason. My babies were born perfect.

I've been spotting on and off for the past four weeks and I'm 20 weeks! My doctor can't find an explanation and said the same thing! It keeps me worrying each time it happens though!
