Sorry I don't have any experience with that. I was just curious as to how old the boy is? Is he an actual threat... Like does he try to beat his mum? Or is he just repeating the words?

He is 10 years old as of yesterday.

I was thinking that was what it might be also, but I know that the emotional issues that he is displaying are somewhat "normal" for children of domestic violence homes.

They are abou too, they don't want to, but they don't don't know how much more they should reasonably take before its more encouraging to the behavior as opposed to helping it.

He tries, he has exhibited every trait that his father did when she was with him.

That's really scary. Is it just towards her or does he do it to kids at school?

He only does towards her, when he was in foster care he did not have one of the issues that he is having again since he's been home.

Well that couldn't really be odd if he is turning it off and on then? Maybe she needs to attend counselling or counselling with him to learn techniques so he learns that she will stand up for herself?

Sorry I don't know what to do. Just trying to help. I can't imagine how hard that must be for her

I had a friend who started dating his guy we want to school with. She was 14 at the time and he was 16. His parents had hers over for dinner an told them he was abusive etc. anyway she continued with the relationship and he beat her and threatened to kill himself and locked her in a cupboard for 2 days once. His parents said he had been like that from before pre teen so it's possible I guess. He was only like that towards women he thought romantically about though. He was a really nice sweet guy and one day tried to kiss me when we were dancing at a party and I wouldn't and he grabbed me really hard and shouted at me. I don't where he picked it up from though but I don't think he ever got better

I was medicated at a young age for depression, ocd and anxiety... I would try medicating him for the depression at least, I just looked at my books and there's no meds for odd, my son takes adderall for adhd and since he was put on that, he has been 1million percent better about 80% of the time...
He's 6 he'll be 7 in may, and he was kicked out of a private school aftter 1 month, we had cops and cps called on us because of things he was doing,

She has been attending sessions with him and basically everything they have told her to do with him have not discouraged or even minorly helped with the problems. Unfortunately, it seems like this is something that only someone with personal experience can help with.

Oh my, I wonder if the adderall would help then. At least in the short term until he can get his emotions under control. I will tell her, I'm just so confused as to why the state therapists and his counselor have not medicated him for his issues.

My ex went with us to diagnose dean, while talking with us, the dr. Said its possible david had odd as a child/teen, I met him when he was 14 and same things he did then in school dean is doing...

My son is extremely emotional, dean also has issues with woman, he let's it rain on women, but his dad comes in or my husband he knocks it off quick, with david,(his dad) it did end up turning into conduct disorder, he went to jail few times before he finally went to prison, he's ok now he still has anger issues but he's able to control himself a lot better, he learned coping skills and his triggers if anything at least it was something positive he ended up getting...

Wow. I will pass that bit on to her. I had always been told that abuse was taught/learned except in some cases with severe depression. Thank you for your help!

Ur welcome... I know, I was never abused as a child, or seen any abuse, but there was a time in my marriage where for whatever reason I wanted and attempted to beat the smurf out of my husband...

My ex does counseling with me and dean and he said when he was younger, he used to get so mad he would lash out, he knew what he was doing, but didn't care, he said it was like rage like his body would get so strong, and pumped, he had to get it out, that's when he would start yelling and talking smurf, then it would like boil over and escalate to him hitting, and fighting....

1 of his charges were terrorist threats   because he couldn't even shut his mouth when getting arrested, he talked smurf all the way to jail and ended up getting tazerd in the neck before he even got booked
