Will my vagina ever be normal again D:

I had my 2nd baby 3 weeks ago, I got a 2nd degree tear in the same place as with my 1st. My stitches fell out 3 days after due to an infection, my midwife said they wont stitch anyone back up even if they fall out incase they stitch an infection into your body.
I have a great big gaping hole where my vagina should be. Its in 2 bits and i cant see how it is going to come together with no stitches. Im finding it really distressing and feel like I'll never have a normal sex life ever again!
Has anyone had this happen or know how/if it will heal? Thanks xx

When I had my appendix out it got really badly infected and when they took the stitches out it was just a gaping hole..they left it wide open because of the infection and it healed like that. It was gross but it eventually healed back together. I'm sure it'll be similar with this.

The hole/enterance I guess u could call it lol, is bigger than it was before, but even when I was single after my 1st, nobody even noticed it lol, and I still danced after I had dean, I just put my clit ring in.... guys are distracted by shiny things,

I had this done when I was 11 and it was about 80% closed up a month after they did the surgery. I have a really noticable scar but its a lot safer to keep it open so infection can properly drain. Which makes sense, you don't want to close up a wound filled with infection. That'd just lead to more problems. For you it probably won't go back 100% like before the baby but I doubt it'll be bad.

Mine didnt get stitched up properly aftet my second... i noticed it two weeks after she was born when i finally decided to look!! I was so upset i went to the doctor he said nothing could be done and it was fine and in a few months it would just heel its self! It did eventually heal itself and is no one near as bad as it was but the hole its self is bigger and i hate looking at it but it feels the same and hasnt effected it feeling looser for dh... i guess it must be the muscles inside that makes it feel good??? I dunno

I am actually in tears from a few people who its happened to saying it stays in two bits and is still bigger. But if it doesnt feel looser thats the first thing thats actually reassured me!

It really sucks but it will eventually start to look kind of normal again! Mine was fine after my first its only after dd2 that they screwed it up! Im kind of hoping it tears a little this time so they can stitch it again and hopefully do it properly this time!!

Thats the same as me I had the same tear with my first baby but i went completely back to normal that time, I took that for granted as well and assumed i would be fine this time.
That's really bad that you werent stitched up properly, with me it was an infection so wasnt really anyone's fault, but if it was the midwife's fault I'd be livid!

Nah, sex still felt the same, I did my kegals so the muscles inside would tighten up. To be honest, I think its tighter inside than it ever was before I had kids...

I've. Always been weird about the way my vag looks, that's why I pierced it in 1st place, so guys would stare at that when I danced lol
But I think they are gross anyways lol I wish I had a vag like barbie...   no razor bumps or ingrowns... lol
