Ivy burps and I keep her up. She still spits up.

That's bunk. I also agree with the poster above who said their medical opinions are just that, OPINIONS. Maybe informed opinions, but still. My best friend had to hammer that into my head when I had lilly, I was neurotic bc she was a preemie and I took everything they said as gospel...sometimes ignoring my own instincts. Bad move. Never be afraid to seek a second, or even third, opinion. I really hope you can get everything settled.

That's what I've been told, but he seems to be under the impression that she's at an increased risk for SIDS if she cosleeps.

That's a flat out lie. Statistically, your baby is much more likely to die while sleeping alone in their crib than with you in bed.
I officially hate your doctor.

I hope so too. I'm pretty sure it's reflux. It runs in my family and DH's as well.

I've noticed in seeing a few different doctors for different things with my kids, older doctor's tend to have very strong negative feelings about cosleeping and also the to give outdated information about things like when to offer solids, CIO, coarsest safety. Im not saying all older doctors are like that, my son's neurologist is a wonderful doctor with all current information and he's about a thousand years old, but in my experience younger doctors tend to have a more open minded approach when dealing with parents and tend to have better more current information on things like this.

Is the doctor aware of that piece of family history?
