I agree with you, Its a PITA that he expects to get looked after even though he wont helphim self

Well I understand he doesn't take care of his teeth. But tooth aches really hurt. They're super painful. And can lead to infection. So I think he should go to the dentist.

Let him go. It may not be just an ache, and if it's let go too long it can turn into something more serious
quoteposted 12th Feb
That's a tough one.
Tooth infections aren't anything to play with.
I say he should go to the dentist.. But he should also have enough common sense to care for his teeth, because he's a adult.
That's gross IMO.

He needs to go. Sorry.

i think u r right... maybe he will learn to takecare of his teeth! get your kid's an u sorted first.

Well, it was stupid of him not to take care of them, but that being said, he needs to get them fixed. Having an infection in his mouth is very dangerous. Does he plan to take care of them once they're fixed, or is he going to continue to let them rot?

as an RDA I say take him in. the infection can spread and he can get really sick.

I know dental work can be super expensive. Have you seen if you can try and get a payment plan arranged or get a credit card specifically for emergencies, such as this? I have a specific card I use for vet visits and for me going to the dentist. It covers a lot of different things.
Your kids really should at least go too, even if it's just once a year. There may not be anything that appears to the eye, but underneath maybe different.

I know dental issues are pretty serious. If his mother agrees, though, tell him to ask if she'll pay for it.
quoteposted 12th Feb
Is there a dental college near by he could go to?
quoteposted 12th Feb
I definitely understand where you're coming from.
But you can't turn back time, the ache is there and it's real and it hurts. And it's only going to get worse and could possibly affect other teeth even if he DID start taking c are of them. He needs to go.
quoteposted 12th Feb
He should go, then get a part time job to pay you back.
