Update Nursemaid's Elbow

Took Mann to the pediatrician yesterday for his recheck from the ER. He woke up Monday morning around 2/3/& 5AM complaining that his arm hurt and he complained all day yesterday (doc appt at 2:20pm EST). When she looked at it he was VERY hesitant about letting her see/touch it, but he finally did after him looking at her pointing and going "don't touch it" about seventeen times. She said his tendons and ligaments are still swollen and they stretch with nursemaid's elbow & the ER doctor said he had the worst case he had ever seen in a 2.5 year old in his report. Anyways, it boils down to if he's still complaining Friday about his elbow hurting, he will be going for another xray because the swollen ligaments and tendons could have covered up a fracture. He was still complaining after the doctors appt yesterday, but Idk about today because I'm in class until two and his daddy hasn't told me anything.

I hope it gets better! Do you know what they can do for him if it's not a fracture? DO they just leave it alone?

Thank you!!! That smurf has been driving me insane!!!! The ER doc kept saying ten-dents lol.

If it isn't a fracture she will just keep him on 7.5mL of Motrin twice a day until it isn't bothering him anymore. Bad thing is my second eldest niece has a bday party at the Skating Rink on Sunday and he was so excited to go

Aww. Well, if it turns out not to be a fracture, couldn't he still go?

Yeah he will go either way, he just may not be able to skate because they don't want anything messing with his elbow joint for a month.
