Quoting The Doctor:" There are lots of farms around here... I've just.... always had an issue with animals. My mom used to have to turn off movies because I'd get too upset. haha"

This reminds me of when my son was watching Lord of the Rings with me and the part where Gollum snaps a rabbit and starts eating it... My son screams bloody murder about how that was his favorite rabbit and his name was Phillip.

I was emotionally traumatized by Benji: The Hunted.... When the eagle gets one of the baby wild cats (cougar?) I don't remember lol

He gets his emotional sensitivity from his mother lol....

HOMG NO.

And I will never, ever watch Milo and Otis again.

Those smurfs actually had a bear kill a kitten a few times for those smurfin' shots.   Bastards...

We raised chickens growing up. The Roosters were butchered and sold and eaten. The hens were kept for their eggs. We sold the eggs as well. They were really good. We are planning on buying a farm and raising our own chickens and then hopefully have some other animals for meat and just leisure. I'd like a couple ponies for my kids to ride and take care of. Oh, and a Llama. I've always wanted a farm with Llamas. Well, maybe more like an Alpaca because they're cuter.

I could raise them for food, but would have to have someone else butcher.

See, I want a little farm soooo much, haha. I'm just really not sure I could eat the animals we raised. I thought, well, it's a good idea to get good quality meat that you KNOW where it came from, and fresher eggs, and all that! But, we'll see. I promised my husband we'd try with like, ONE animal first. If I could allow that one to be butchered, then we'd consider more. That way if I can't, well, we only have one as a pet, haha.

I cried for a while after seeing that movie as a kid! I don't remember Milo and Otis.
