very low placenta
posted 12th Feb
i went for my 20 week scan the other day and I was told the reason I'm bleeding and cramping is because my placenta is very low. she told me there's a slight chance it will move up. if it doesn't I have to have a c section. I was put on bed rest because of the cramping and bleeding. I was wondering if this happened to anyone else and the placenta did move up? I'm terrified of needing a c section.
btw.....I'm having another little girl. Ava Grace.

I am not in anyway having the same issue, but I am being threatened with a possible c section if my son gets as big as they say. And I share your fear of them, but also know as long as he arrives safely and isnt harmed in any way.. I will be happy! Keep your head up! Hopefully you have tons of support to help with your other lo! My biggest fear is bed rest and not being able to work (which right now we cant afford) but I guess if its best for baby! The things we do for our children ♥

I had the same issues with my daughter. I was on pelvic rest my entire pregnancy. It finally moved at 38 weeks.

I was told my placenta is low as well, but they won't give any other details other than that & said they won't be concerned until i'm farther along.. if it hasn't moved then they will be worried... :rolls eyes: my OB's are seriously stupid though.. so i don't get many answers or help to questions or issues i have. I have a few friends who dealt with placenta previa and all theirs moved up the bigger their uterus got, so they didn't end up with Csections..
If i get one, i'm getting my tubes tied while i'm open lol

its hard being on bed rest plus we cant afford it at all but I want my baby to be healthy so thats all that matters. If I have to do a c section I will. I have a problem with epidural during my first labor. As long as Ava is healthy it doesnt matter. The only thing that really sucks about my placenta being low I cant really feel her move. My So is so helpful with my oldest. Even though he isnt her biological father he treats khloe just like his. hes so wonderful.

I am at 12 weeks pregnancy and the other day I was sitting at home when all of a sudden I felt like I had just peed without realising it, went to the toilet to discover to my horror lots of blood. I was so upset, was sure I was having a miscarriage (again as I had one in December). Rushed to emergency and had a scan to find out thank god baby is ok but my placenta is very low near the uterus and thats what was causing the bleeding. Result; hospital for 2 days until the bleeding stopped and now at home in bed on bed rest. Its so frightening and frustrating because I have 2 children who need me and my poor husband is trying to juggle work and school and childcare....but I know I need to do this for my baby.I dont know how long it will take for the placenta to move back up but have to stay like this until my next appointment on 8 june, I feel so depressed and worried.
