Spotting while trying to skip period on bc??

I'm on ortho cyclen (monophasic/same dose of hormones on active pills) and I wanted to skip last months period because i was going on vacation and didnt want to deal with it anyways instead of taking my placebo pills i started my new pack and have been spotting since this is only my 3rd month on this pill but has anyone else had spotting for awhile while trying to skip your period on bcps?

I have never heard of someone doing that. Is this something people do regularly?? That just doesn't sound like a good idea.

Yes, some pills like seasonique only give you like 3 or 4 periods a year, its the same type of idea, skipping your placebo pills and starting a new pack will make you skip that week of your period. **oops just googled it from another website and i guess spotting is normal with trying to skip your period and will decrease with time.. probably should have just googled it first lol
