Agreed, it's good to have a plan now. I think it's great she has thought about ways to budget effectively, it's something every parent/person should do.
However, whilst she isn't obsessing in this thread Destial has shown a strong tendency to obsess about money in others, so it's not like Monkey Nuts was out of left field... I'd say probably more just curious and blunt. Like most of us Aussies, we exactly aren't known for beating around the bush. ETA: not trying to be argumentative!
