weaning vent

My kid only nurses at night but I have been cutting back feedings. I started a new BC pill a few weeks ago and my milk is almost dried up so he just get mad and pinches since there's barely any milk so it's time to fully night wean..

This is exhausting. I've rocked him to sleep several times already tonight   ugh it was so much easier when he just nursed all night and we coslept and I got tons of sleep lol

I feel like this is a never going to end. Doesn't help I am getting over being sick and I have no help at night.

Awe this makes me sad 

How are you feeling?? May I ask were you the one ready to wean?
Like how do you know your ready? You and child?

I always wanted to stop at 1 but we're almost at 10 months Friday.
Ill probably stop a little after one.

I hated weaning too.
I regret it now.

We stopped at two. It was awful.. I tried offering a sippy cup to replace the breast which kind of helped, but she was still really sad about it.

With my oldest he wanted to wean this time it's my choice. My youngest isn't a gentle nurser. He bites, scratches, pinches and gets mean when I don't give him boob and I am just done. I nursed him nearly 13 months not a single drop of formula so I feel good about that.

It really comes down to both you and the baby have to want to still. Needs to be a mutual thing. My oldest was so loving when he nursed just cuddled. I nursed him until he decided to wean shortly after I got pregnant with #2. This time I'm the one that's just done.

I dread nursing him. It was making me dread coming home from work. My breasts have little scars/discolorations from him scratching and pinching.

I could of easily nursed until 2 with my oldest.

For me it's a nice feeling knowing I was able to provide what my baby needed in their first year.

Its going sooo fast!!

Yeah that's what I feel like but I hated my son had maybe 4 bottles of formula because jaundice.

At least he's healthy an all.(:

I weaned my son just before his 2nd birthday, but he got sick, so I restarted and now we're weaning all over again. I know what you mean you say it's just easier to pop the boob out and check the sleep in! lol Hopefully, it goes better for you...  

I totally understand where your coming from. My little girl is only 10 months so we are going to be weaning just yet but she is a biter and her top teeth cut my breast almost every feeding! I constantly have scabs on them and they are so sore. I pray that she isn't super hard to wean but I fear that she will be as she still wakes up just to comfort nurse 4-8 times a night   I am so exhausted! Just be proud that you nursed for as long as you did. You gave your baby the best nutrition possible and you shouldn't feel bad for wanting to stop. Good luck momma
