Sick or shot reaction?

posted 11th Feb
LO had her 4 month check up this morning. Before her appointment she had a couple runny poop diapers but she does sometimes and isn't ever sick so I didn't think anything of them. At the appointment she had a low fever but because she didn't seem sick and her pedi couldn't find anything (ear infection, red throat, etc etc.) we just assumed it was because she was bundled up in her car seat and he went ahead and did her shots. Now she has terrible diarrhea and was running a fever of 102.3. I'm giving her pedialtye and tylenol only brought her fever down to 101.4. I don't know whether to think she really is sick and was this morning and that it's just gotten worse as the day's gone on or if she's having a reaction to the shots. The rotovirus is going around, I know of 3 of my friend's kids and my cousin's son who have already had it so I don't want to wait around and not take her to the pedi but I don't want to run to the pedi for a shot reaction either. What would you do? I plan on calling her pedi first thing in the morning regardless if she's still running a fever to see what he thinks but wanted some opinions. Thanks ladies.

If she was having poops before the appointment and a temp I would bet a virus. The shot probably made her immune system even worse. Not sure why they gave it to her when she was showing signs of already being sick.

Since she was already somewhat sick beforehand I would think a virus and not a shot reaction.

They probably shouldn't have given her the shots. My pedi won't give them shots at all with any kind of fever or sign of sickness.

It's probably my fault. I didn't mention the runny poop because like I said she has poop like that sometimes and isn't sick. She also didn't feel warm at home so I wasn't aware she had a fever. I didn't put two and two together until later.
