weaning his self already??

My son will be 7 months on the 21st.. and for the past few days he just doesnt want to nurse.. he will la'te at night or early in the morning when he is sleepy but during the day when i try hes been freaking out.. he 'bites' my nipples and screams and pulls.. could he be weaning his self already? Anyone have any advice?

Could be a nursing strike.

Sounds like teething maybe...do you supplement?

And nope only breast milk.. i mean he eats solids too.. but as far as milk its all boobie lol

Wow i would have never guessed that..

So by the responses im guessing it could be multiple things.. maybe i should bring it up with his doctor?? I noticed it started just after we got in a car accident last week.. do you think that could have something to do with it?

Its very possible. I was stopped and got rear ended by a woman going 45.. she pushed me into the car in front of me. It was a week ago today and im still beat up.. so i can only imagine he is too.. i got him checked out on the scene, then took him to his doctor, then got him checked again at the ER when i went.. they all just looked at his eyes abd in his ears and said he was fine..

I would suggest a chiropractor, I think it's a good bet it's not a coincidence. Good luck  .

After seeing your post on the car accident, I would suggest chiropractor as well. My son had to have an adjustment a few hours after he was born because he had no suck reflex when he was born (we think it was due to my midwife tugging so hard on his neck to get him out) and it helped tremendously. My lil one turned 7 months on Saturday and has been doing the same thing for the last 2 weeks. His dr said it was teething. He currently has four teeth and two more trying to come through. Good luck.
