Could you ever...

Leave your child to pursue a different life?
A girl from my high school; let's call her B. has a little boy from a previous relationship. Dude is a dead beat. Isn't close with LO but still shares partial custody so his parents can see LO.
B is the only real parent he has. He is almost 6 btw.
3 months ago B started dating a new guy who lives 12 hours away. She knew him from when she was younger. They just got engaged
Now B is moving there in a few weeks
Without her LO. Because BD won't agree.
And she just writes about it nonchalantly that they'll "figure it out" and "hopefully she gets him for the summers" and in the mean time he will live with her mom.
Like... I can't even imagine? I know sometimes it's necessary and sometimes people need to make tough choices for the best but seriously... I couldnt do it.

I couldn't do it. I love and care for my child toooooo much. I'd miss her dearly and I'd be nothing without her, she IS my life.

no way! I'd be going to court.

That's not making a tough choice, that's abandoning your child for some dick. I hate women like that. Literally.

Definitely not. My children are a part of my life. I'd also be concerned why "new man" is okay with me leaving my child behind. I would hope he would consider moving closer to me and if not...then it's just not the right timing

Wtf!?!? Hell no!! That makes her no better than the dead beat daddy. No man should ever be more important than a child.

I didn't even read half of that, but the answers is no. Never. No way.

She's leaving her child for another guy. Sounds to me like if that's the kind of person she is, LO is better off without her. That poor little boy is going to be heartbroken.
I would never leave my child for anybody. I can't even fathom the idea.

I can't think of a circumstance, certainly not for some guy.

That's how I think as well. Apparently new fiancé has a daughter from a previous relationship as well and same thing- he can't leave with her. In that case I'd think it was not meant to be or not the right time. I wouldn't be the one leaving my child ever
