When i got it i had a whitehead like spot in my mouth and one spot on my vag a little smaller than a pencil eraser.

That's about how big my spot is. Is there anything I can do to ease the tenderness or speed the "healing" process? Or does it just have to run it's course and I just have to suffer?

Hmm that is weird. My friend had a cluster of bumps on here butt hole bc she did anal and she said it hurt to pee. That was syphillis. The herpes was on lesion that looked like a cut and healed in 5 days. That's why she didn't think it was herpes. I have cold sores and explained them. I get them in my mouth too. It starts as a bump then gets bigger then feels raw like a burn and then feels like a mouth ulcer. I get them on the roof of my mouth. She says hers weren't like that though.

To me it sounds like herpes I had this problem where I got a small bump on my vagina it takes two weeks to break out if it starts hurtin when you pee in a couple days its most likely :[

They prescribe you medication its pricey but they also give you a numbing cream id get checked asap But its been 2 years since I had it and only had one outbreak so its definatly worth it

I got checked Tuesday of this week and they did a pap and blood work and I'm just waiting for the results.

How long does the out break last from the time the spot is found to the time it's all over with? A week or so?

Valtrex is a prescription that works. L-lysene helps some people, it did not help me. Any product marketed for cold sores (think abreva, nexcare) can help once you have a lesion. When you pee, pat dont wipe. You dont want it to spread.

Mine lasted a month but it can last up to six weeks I took the meds and the pain went away but if it doesn't work definatley ask for numbing jel especially if you cant afford it luckily I had Medicaid

The lesion I have on my vagina is already feeling better. Very minimal tenderness and itching. But my mouth, OMG I want to cry and feel like my gums are melting off. They don't itch, they hurt so bad. To brush my teeth I get involuntary tears because it hurts so bad.

Did your results come back?

I got my results back yesterday actually that everything bloodwork wise came back clean and clear. My pap showed some cellular changes for the herpes simplex virus and they want me to do another round of bloodwork targeting this specifically to see how long ago I was exposed. The nurse said that it is the cold sore virus and not the genital herpes virus. My body will always harbor the bacteria *which I have had a history of cold sores* and that unless I have a breakout as with normal cold sores I have nothing to worry about. THANK GOD everything looks good, and I will go back in 5 months for follow up blood work to make sure everything is still clean and clear. It also turns out that the strep throat that I had was probably the trigger for the mouth and vaginal cold sores to come up because they are stress induced. And strep is a major stress-er on the body.

Hmm I haven't heard of that. So you tested for the herpes 1 in your vagina? Did he do oral? Curious bc I have herpes complex 1 cold sores on my mouth and in it but never tested for it genitally. It can.be passed genitally by the mouth though. Just a little confused from.your diagnosis.
