also if your can't afford your dogs maybe you should look at rehousing them ... also cutting down on a lot of expenses including buying anything. Immediate debts, bills, and food (not fast food or eating out) ... that's where your priorities should be.

My ex was like that, every cent he had would always go to either junk food or stupid smurf and every time I had money he would throw a fit until I gave him what he wanted. I would have to beg him just to get me food when he went out. I would never put up with that again, it was complete BS. He is majorly using you because he knows you will give him what he wants and you wont bitch about it, I sure if you were to not get him those hats he would flip out and would be pissed off at you until you got them. You need to start saving up because babies are VERY expensive and your not going to be able to "splurge" after he/she is born, so its better for you both to get used to it now. If you want to get your SO something nice for v-day, why not just take him to dinner or go to nomorerack.com and get him something cheap.
