re: Ugly Babies?

Yep, not all babies are cute!, I have seen some not so fortunate babies and i just have no comments for them. .

Yes, I believe there are ugly babies. But, it seems most "ugly" babies grow out of it and become the cutest toddlers/kids.

When my little cousin was born I told her mom, my cousin, that she looked like a little monkey. She was really hairy and just had a monkey like face, lol. I was 13 at the time, I didn't think it was that big of a deal to say that, but my cousin got so offended. Turns out, she's a super cute 10 year old today, lol.

When DS was born we began calling him "Baby Man", he reminded me of a Benjamin Button baby, lol. He's 3 and I think he's cute now, but it could be my mom goggles.

I have seen some troll babies before. I would never tell the mother or anyone the mother knows. This girl on my FB has one of the ugliest babies I've ever seen. I figured the little girl would grow out of it, but she's turning 3 now and she's still a little troll.   I just feel bad for her now.  

Yes there are ugly babies. However I think your other friends are being incredibly mean by keeping on saying it lol. Down South if we see something like that, it usually goes: Look at baby, Shake head and say "Bless your heart", walk away lol. You cant really tell if that's insult or not here, because everyone is always having their hearts blessed lol

My second child was an ugly baby.

I think it's fine to think it but not to say it, unless you know the mom would agree with you.  


If anyone would have told me my 2nd was ugly, I would have laughed and agreed.

OP yes there are ugly babies. one of my good friends sends me a pic of her new son at least twice a week and i think he is just a weird looking baby. he has a huge head and a small mouth. I feel so bad for thinking it every time.  

Aw, I would never call a baby ugly   I'll admit not all babies are "pretty" but all babies are precious and sweet. And I would neverrrr tell somebody their baby was ugly or talk behind their back to somebody about what their baby looks like.

Everyone said Lily was an ugly baby. It didnt help with my PPD. Everyone called her bowling ball head, since she had such a round head from being a C-section baby. I dont give a damn what people say, I think she was a pretty baby and shes a gorgeous young lady now. So what other people say dont matter to me, but when I had PPD it did ;)

max lost his baby hair at one point - about four months in, and looked like an old politician b/c he had a bald top head and still had hair on the side.

he was still cute-ish, but i'd have admitted he was doing a great tiny winston churchill during that phase.

and yeah, there are those babies which're downright appalling. it's rare, but i've seen 'em!

My oldest son had a huge forehead and a tiny face for a very long time. My co-worker used to compare him to Jack in the jack-in-the-box commercial when the guy said, "You have a freakishly large head." Then my second son was born premature with no body fat and he looked like a wrinkly old man. They both grew out of it, but they didn't start out handsome by any means. Sadly, my oldest is getting very handsome but he has my dumbo ears that stick straight out. I used to get called yoda.

Not all babies are cute to look at, but I think all babies are cute just because they're babies. Plus, they're not mine so I can hand them back when they cry and that is pure cuteness in my opinion.

I don't think its possible for me to have an ugly baby :-) My kids are perfection...well to me anyways :-)

I cant post pix of her that would be cruel lol... I was bald until I was 3 and I am a girl. My mom said I got teased.

Haha, well Winston Churchill has got to be better than uncle fester. We still call my brother that, he REALLY looked like him. He grew out of the look but we still tease.
