Favorite crib from Target?

posted 11th Feb
I'm looking at Cribs on Target.com in particular. I've got a Red Card so I get 5% off and free shipping. Once I find out I'm pregnant I'll be ordering the crib with tax money off of Target.com. But, I don't want nothing fancy or expensive because we moved Chris to a twin sized bed pretty quickly and probably will this one too. The crib/convertible will be used for about two years. I'm not looking to spend anymore than $250. Did anybody else get their crib at Target and have one in particular they REALLY liked that held up well?

EDIT: I found one with an attached changing table helped a lot when Chris was super small, but I'm not particular as LO can be changed on couch, floor, our bed, etc.

My oldest had the Delta Canton 4 in 1 crib and my youngest the DaVinci Kalani I like them both.

I know it's not from target...but this is the crib we got my son and I love it. It's kind of a pain in the butt if you want a mobile because the clamp thing is either too big or too small (depending on the side you put it on)...but it looks super nice and is handy because you don't have to buy another bed.

Thank you. I'm not opposed to Walmart either. That's a fair price. Thank you so much

Oh goodness. That's an awesome deal. I bet if I looked on Craigslist, I could get a crib cheaper than $100. Of course, I'll be careful. I don't want drop side nor or those even legal.

Something like this is nice and I wouldn't mind lightly used: http://denver.craigslist.org/bab/3610256490.html

$70 is a good deal.

Yeah....we were thrilled.
Craigslist isn't the most reliable place...but I'm biased to not like it lol Bad experiences. And my sister had a drop side crib (handed down by her mother in law)...scared the crap out of us when her 10 month old daughter walked in to the kitchen when she was supposed to be asleep in her crib. She shook it loose and climbed out.

I got most stuff off of craigs while pregnant with Chris and had nothing but good experiences getting stuff off of there as well as that's how I got rid of most of his baby stuff. I of course chose carefully and take DH with me when I go to pick stuff up off of craigs. I just mean I wouldnt get like a car seat off of there ya know? But for something like a wooden crib, why not if it's safe and DH goes with ya know?

That is true. lol I've gotten stuff for Sebastian off of amazon and ebay many times...in a way it's essentially the same thing I guess. lol Craigslist just ticks me off because we got ripped off on a truck off there (my boyfriend isn't so bright when it comes to vehicles... lol) and my parents were screwed over by a guy who pretended to own a place and tried to rent it to them, even though it wasn't his place. I guess baby things would be different than those though... haha Sorry my brain is kind of dead. My son finally fell asleep again after waking up at 5am

Nah, I know how that goes. It's cool. Yeah, bigger things like houses and cars I couldn't trust, but something simple like a crib, I'm not too concerned over, I guess. I would go check it out and stuff first. Or, take a family member with me if I wasn't sure. I only ever had one issue buying a swing off of craigslist and it quit working a month later. I think the motor was going bad in it...no wonder I only spent $30 on it. haha

If I remember, wasn't it shorted though or something like requiring a special mattress? $100 is an awesome deal and if I remember right, it was cute for being so simple. Does it convert to a toddler bed?
