dehydration.

posted 11th Feb
We all got ththe flu this weekend, but for some reason my ooldest (5) got it the worst. She hasn't been able to keep anything down.

Since about 8 pm Saturday she's only went to the bathroom once (few hours ago) and she said it was clear. She has been drinking water and is keeping it down, but I'm worried. And google is giving me conflicting answers. Some say even if she's keeping it down, she'd need to be seen if she hasn't used the restroom. Some say she's fine since it's staying down.

I've never seen her this sick, so idk what to do.

I hate flu season

I'd take her in. Sounds like dehydration for sure.

I would just take her in, get some liquids in her. Hope you all get better soon. Our whole family just got done with the flu!

I took my 11 month old in a couple weeks ago because she had the stomach flu and wasn't having any wet diapers... she was also puking everything up. They didn't even give her any IV fluids and said not to come in until she's gone two days without peeing.

Have you tried giving her Gatorade instead of water? When I got the flu really bad that's what the dr told me to drink instead of water to help balance out my electrolytes. It helped me feel a lot better, pretty quickly.

Hope she feels better soon.

Yeah we already did the powerade.

I totes forgot that her pedi had on call. She said since it's been almost 48 hours, without urine and bowel movements I should take her in.
