i was saying that the logic behind the senerio may be ''lost'' if the participants arent ''playing w/a full deck'' ,not that either party shouldnt recieve respect and love. The person needing mental health intervention may not be capable of showing love/respect in a proper fashion and more than likely will require more of both from their partner.

Who says that some of the ladies who have replied laughing at OP are not Christian? People don't have to agree with everything.

Kings and Queens are generally related and in an arranged marriage. Also Queens had no other use than to look pretty, turn a blind eye to mistresses, and produce heirs.

I agree with you for the most part OP. Did you say you had a thread that talks about this? I'm not one to totally let my husband take full "reign" in the relationship, but we do mutually respect one another and he discusses things with me and I with him before we make any major decision. I guess that goes along with your King & Queen comparison.

The only queen I remember being treated as an equal and shown respect and love was Esther.
