Lump under armpit

I've had a pea size lump under my right armpit since i can remember. However, as of late (Since December) it "flares" up, is swollen and painful. The lump is not on the outside of the skin, it's underneath. There's no head to it, it doesn't move. It's not an ingrown hair, I've switched deodorants. Nothing helps it.

Weird thing is, it only gets painful and swollen during ovulation and my period. Then it goes away completely until the next month. I was thinking a lymph node but I'm not sick at all.

I have an appointment next week with my PCP but my hypochondria is making me think I have breast cancer or some sort of hidden infection that is killing me slowly.

Anyone have any experience with this?

I had one that was there and went away completely a month later.

If it is flaring up and going away it wouldn't be cancer though.

I get one every few years.
I was convinced I had cancer once....
I don't feel sick when I have them and they just go away.

Yeah, it's weird. It swells once every month then is gone completely until the next. IDK what the hell it is.

i don't know either... it seems to be reacting to hormonal fluxes which is weird.

i just wanted to share about the weird bump i had under my armpit back in the day... that i decided to pick at and HUGE amounts of white pithy smurf came out.

freaking gross and gratifying in a way i can't even describe.

and then it disappeared forever.
