honest opinions please

Im not pregnant or TTC, yet, but I was just wondering what you ladies think of the names:
Leland, Claude, and Mordecai?

obviously for a boy... lol.

I don't like them.

I like Leland and Mordecai. Not so much Claude.

LOVE Leland.   If I have another boy it is definitely on the list.

I like Claude! But that's because I'm a Sookie Stackhouse fan, and everytime I think of Claude I think of a sexy male stripper with pointy ears.  

Leland isn't bad either, but I have to say no to Mordecai.

Where are you getting those names from, if I may ask? I know I've heard Mordecai before.

Leland is okay. The other two, yuck.

I really like Claude. Leland would be #2. I don't like the last one so much

Leland and Claude are both family names on my dad's side and I like them.

Not a fan of any of them.

Leland is from Monk... lol. I just loved it
and Mordecai... I'm pretty sure its a biblical name. Like queen Esther's uncles name... I think... lol. DH likes it and I thought it sounded kinda cool.

Those feel very Quebec-y to me. Even Mordecai just reminds me of Mordecai Richler. Not that it's a bad thing, Mordecai Richler was a great author. Are you French (Leland, Claude) or Jewish (Mordecai)and going with it for cultural reasons, or just like the sounds of them? I think I'd pick Claude, since it'd be difficult to find a nickname for Leland or Mordecai. Trust me, in my nook of the world I've met a lot of "Lels' and "Mordys", just tricky to abbreviate.

It does sound cool. I actually like it quite a bit! Just, not as a name for a child. For a character in a story though I love it!  

But my favorite would be Claude!
