Former or current "cutters"

Please don't judge.   I almost posted from BG secrets so I wouldn't get smurf... That being said, I used to have a pretty serious issue with cutting. I hadn't done it in several years. Until Saturday.   I am so completely mindsmurfed lately, just too much going on. I just wanted to release some of the pain. Now I feel like I'm falling back in to old habits, like I'm going to start doing it again. I don't know what to do. Nobody understands. I just want to feel normal and happy. I am currently trying to get my son into counseling and I know once I do, I wont be able to afford for both of us to go.... I seriously need advice.

Just don't do it. Once you start it's hard to stop. I have the feeling of going back to cutting everyday. but, I don't. I think of my babies. and I don't want them to see my scars.

I don't have advice because I've been feeling like I wanted to cut lately as well. Just know you're not alone. If you need to talk, I'm around.

I was in same spot a few months ago.
Until I did it right above my eyebrow, and everyone asked what happened.
There are resources and people out there to help you get better. Even if it's just here on BG to talk.

I wish it were that easy... I cut where I can explain it away, not on my wrists/arms/legs... That makes it harder not to do it, because most people will never see it.

i struggle with it from time to time. mostly out of frustration. idk what to tell you as an alternative, but i'm here to talk if you need.

I definitely know how you feel. I haven't cut in years. I've been trying really hard not to even though I keep thinking about it. Luckily I'm planning on getting both arms tattooed and since getting my wrists tattooed I've stopped

Why is it so hard? It almost feels like an adiction at times.  

Have you tried the rubber bands?

I cut from 12 until 19, when I was hospitalized for it :/ I stopped until a few months ago (I'm 26). I had a very crappy period and just stress from all sides. I just WANTED to cut again. I felt like that would help. So I did. And it didn't. It just hurt, I'm sitting here like wtf happened? So I called my best friend and we hashed it all out. It helped. I'm sorry you're feeling so bad OP.

I hadn't done it since before DH and I got married, and we've been married 5 years.
He's deployed right now, and 5 days after he left I had my second miscarriage in 3 months. My best friend dropped me completely, and I had nobody.
I was done, and it happened.
That was a few months ago, and when I look back on it I get physically sick.
We can all tell you our stories, and how we've gotten beyond that, but the answer is within you. Sometimes you have to dig pretty deep to find that strength.
Only time will tell.

See I did get relief when I did it. But afterward, I just felt stupid and guilty. It makes no sense to me why I am so drwan to it.
