Vaccinations in school.

What do you think about this?

Honestly, I can't see why parents would get upset about vaccinations being offered at school. Children aren't forced into it. I am quite sure parents have to sign a form saying yes or no.

I didn't know they were being offered at school now, I just figured you would either have to have forms proving vaccination, or a waiver against it.
Is this at a specific place??

This is probably more related to schools 'requiring' vacanations to attend

I don't see a problem with it. As long as those who want to opt out can.

Is this referring to vaccinations being offered or health classes teaching kids about vaccinations?

I've heard... Not saying it's true.... That they are giving the vaccines without asking the parents... I'm thinking it was the HPV one after showing a video of what may happen.... I'm not sure tho... Don't quote me....

All I know is that I told my kids if someone comes at you with needle, to kick scream and run away and call me so I can do more kicking and punching.. Ha

I don't think so. I think it can go either way. That's just the way I got the jist of it.

My nephew is in kindergarten and they offered flu vaccinations this year. Not in shots, but in the kind that goes up the nose. I think it's a new thing, but I've heard of it in a lot of different places so far.

Oh hell no. That I would have a problem with. I am in charge of my son's health and I take him to a Dr. we trust. I would sue the school if they vaccinated my son without my consent.

It's ok if they offer them for the parents who consent to having it done. I don't agree with it being forced on anyone, though. As far as teaching kids about vaccines, I'm not sure if that's such a good idea or not. There are too many parents with strong opinions and research to back up their opinions on both sides, so I don't think teachers need to get in the middle of all that.

They gave vaccinations at our elementary school in the early 90s. I don't honk it's a bad thing as long as those who don't want the vaccinations are allowed to opt out.

Children CAN be forced into it. My family doesn't get the flu vaccine for allergy/health reasons (allergic reaction with many family members, without no known cause), and they pretty much told my then 8-year-old brother he had to get it or they'd be calling our parents to take him home. Vaccines shouldn't be in school, they should be in doctor offices/clinics only.

Seriously, forcing the flu vaccine? Thats insane.

Im seriously against the flu vaccine. I have a really compromised immune system and my Mom said "We both need to get the vaccine!" I kept telling her NO but then she played the pity card because if she gets the flu it can be deadly. I have my own set of problems if I get the flu. I got it to appease her.

What happens? We get the smurfing flu. My Mom felt like she was dying and I said "So how about that vaccine next year?" And she said "NEVER AGAIN!" I said "Good, should of listened to me in the first place!" lol oh well.
