Ovulation test

So I know that only a line as dark as or darker than the control line indicates a positive result but does a lighter line mean you are fixing to ovulate or are those just always there?

They're pretty much always there.

The hormone OPKs pick up on is a hormone that is always in your body.
That's why the test line has to be darker than the control line. Because that hormone usually doubles right before an egg is released.

For some women that hormone might be faint and they might not get a second line, I always did. And it was always different, dark or light. But when it was positive it was very obvious.

I always had a faint line ... ...but when I ovulated it was unmistakingly positive. I tested twice a day. On CD15 am I got a negative CD15 pm positive but it took the full time on CD16 am it was pos in less then 30 seconds. Then it continued like that thru the next couple days and then I ran out

Mine showed up right away and it was pink just light pink.

Mine varied throughout my cycle but a day or so before I would get a positive it would get very very close positive.
