Gahh.. help (weight loss)

posted 11th Feb
I started weight watchers yesterday, and I already borrowed 7 points from the "weekly points" lol.. No matter what I eat, I still feel hungry! I know dieting isnt easy, but given how much im eating ( i guess its just smaller portions obviously) I shouldnt be hungry. Any tricks to get through this? My stomach is growling lol.

If you're used to eating more than you should you are going to feel hungry. But it wont last forever. Drink lots of water! Fluids will help you feel full without extra calories. Give it a week or two and the portions will be more filling.

drink a ton of water. Drink a glass of water before meals and break your meals up into smaller meals so you can eat less more often.

water! whenever you feel hungry drink a big glass of water! It'll help fill your tummy for a little bit. Eventually your stomach will shrink and youll feel fuller on smaller meals!

I also need to go shopping.. I know most fruit and veggies are 0 points.. Yesterday I pretty much ate packaged stuff.. So I guess I can see how that wouldn't be filling. I also had a ton of grapes.. Makes me realize how much I was consuming before

i hate diets like that. Just eat healthy and drink lots of water. Protein, veggies & fruit should be majority of your diet.

What did you eat yesterday?

most packaged foods are empty calories. Like the snacks that are sold in a box with like 10 individual bags, of which are "only 100 calories" ... id stay away from those

It's going to take a bit for your stomach to get used to less food. I was horrible with portion control.
I have started calorie counting and a food journal 3 weeks ago and I am down 12 pounds.

I make a lot of low calorie soups that I can eat a lot of. Like cabbage soup! It delicous and very little calories. A whole pot is only 300.

Half a head of cabbage
1 Large onion
Cup of sliced carrots
2 Beef bullion cubes
Water filled to the top of vegetables
Salt and pepper to taste.

Bring to a boil, then simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Then I make 5 portions and refrigerate. Its delicious, filling, and I think 0 points for weight watchers.

I also buy pickles and Kroger's 60 calorie yogurts for quick snacks when I am feeling hungry! It will get easier, promise!
