Switching classes within the same school will not stop bullying.

from my experience, you're right.

If this is YOU and someone hits you or assaults you in any way, I'd call the cops.
If I found out my son was bullying someone or being bullied I would be a force no one wants to mess with. If school officals won't do anything (which seems to be the norm) then take a different approach. Call the cops. Document EVERYTHING.

it WAS me. and as i said, it wasn't anything physical. more like verbal harassment.

no but it will help get away from seeing the other classmates through out the day so it wont be constant bullying and i also suggest tlking to the principle and teachers that all their is beside missing school and an education

I had the same problem when I was in school.
I wish my mom had sent me to a therapist.

it took starting hs and cutting to get them to take it seriously... them finding out about the cutting was a total accident btw.

I am sorry you had to deal with that. I think I'd start recording them as evidence.
I've always been intimidating, so I never had anyone bully me. If I heard someone being bullied, I'd usually say something to the bully.

We did have a guy on the football team that harassed (dirty comments mostly) a good majority of the girls (including myself)& one day I'd had enough of his nasty comments, I stood up told him off and marched to the office to report what was going on. He was suspended for 3 days & couldn't play football. I never had one problem from him after that.

i wish someone had done that for me. i was more concerned with not getting anyone in trouble because i didn't want people to hate me. the few that weren't harassing me, just stood back and watched. though i'm sure some just didn't know what to do about it. and thanks!

I eventually had to move in with my grandparents because of abuse with my mom and started cutting, and I was anorexic. Luckily my grandmother let me drop out at 16 and do night school, but I had to go to a group home before that.

that sucks, but it seems to have worked out. i got lucky that i found DH my sophomore yr. he's what helped me to curve my urges toward cutting. and luckily what i was being harassed about in grade school was NBD in HS.

That makes me so sad to hear. No one deserves to be treated like that. School should be a safe place.

well thanks. it started with me telling a "friend" that i had a crush on her. it got around school and somehow got turned into me being a child molester or some crap...

Well my oldest is currently in the 8th grade . She hasn't had any bullying issues (that I know of, she talks to me a lot about things so I'm sure she'd tell me), but if she did I'd want her to stay in school. Mostly because I don't feel I'm qualified enough to educate her in things to prepare her for high school and eventually college. I would definitely talk it out with someone at school, preferably someone who could try to stop the bullying.
