I wouldn't care. I hated what my best friend named her daughter but who cares, wasn't my kid. I didn't tell her I hated it though

I'd be annoyed as hell that she kept bringing it up, over and over. But I'd tell her to shut up and deal with it, it's my kid, my choice and she doesn't have to use the name for her kids.

Yeah, i'm talking about situations where your friend is constantly telling you that.

I know she is going to hate it but it doesn't matter. My child my choice..

It would annoy me. I'd be like, okay, new topic. Name isn't changing. Get off my nuts.

If it was my best friend, I would expect her/him to not bring it up again. Or if they do, it would be a joke not intended on hurting my feelings. I have very few "best" friends for a reason.

I care, I'm not gonna lie. My best friend is superrrr important to me. She's the one I go to for anything. But she would never tell me she didn't like it. I'm still trying to figure out if she's telling me the truth on DS name  

I'd be more hurt that they would choose to say they 'hate' it. I don't like all the names my friends like, but I wouldn't say 'omg, I hate that'. I'd say, well that's not my taste, but whatever makes you happy. And, I'd mean that. Unless, they named their kid 'abcde', haha. I know my tastes aren't necessarily in line with most people.

What sucks is i don't love the name either- well, like, part of it, but I made compromises with my dude to honor a family member so i can't just not use it, ya know?

Like, she knows i don't love the middle name, but also that i can't change it now. But she keeps saying the name together then being like, "gross."

No one liked my oldest son's name because they thought it was too old fashioned. My dad even joked around about me turning Amish. I really didn't care. I knew that was the name I wanted and I stuck with it. If your friend starts being an ass and its hurting your feelings, just tell them to shut up. If they're honestly your close friend, they'll respect your feelings. My best friend makes fun of everyone all the time. She's just a natural born smartass. But if she goes too far all I have to do is tell her and she will stop. She doesn't mean to hurt people's feelings, she's just missing a sensitivity chip.
