10 day pp period?

At my six week follow up my doctor told me it looked like I had started my period. I've been on this so called period for ten days now and it's super heavy. It gushes like after I had my son. I started a birth control so I'm not sure if that could be causing it or not. Idk if I just wait longer or go back to the doctor? What would you do?

My PP period were pretty crazy for at least 4 months like that. Then it fixed itself. I was never on BC though

my first pp period lasted 7 weeks because the doctor put me on a contraceptive pill that didn't agree with me. so it could be your contraception making you bleed. But i have also heard some ladies on here say theirs lasted ages too. and my sisters first pp period was 8weeks.
