I think the issue that seems to be coming up is supporting vs. approving.

Supporting, IMO, means that if a mistake happens, you still support that person, doesn't mean you approve of teen pregnancy.

Approving means, hell yeah! If you want to TTC as a teen, gooooo for it! WOO! PARTY!

Well then I think it's perfectly fine for a teenage parents to disapprove of teen pregnancy/parenting as long as they are still supportive. I could disapprove of my little sister getting married but I would still support her when she needed it because I love her. It's when people get self righteous that it's a problem. "You are 16, why are you even having sex? I was a teen parent and it's hard. You are stupid. Blah Blah."

Tho I was a teen mom...a ttc teen mom at that...yes my baby was planned and no I have never regretted it, things were hard for a while. .but now im nearing 25ttc#2 so I would be there for my child if their was a teenage pregnancy but I know its hard and I would ... Like to believe that by time my child thinks about sex he knows the consequences...and know its not easy. However; a baby is a blessing, I love my son with all of my heart. And when someone chooses to become a parent...well that's up to them on their own terms, their own beliefs, nothing should or shouldn't influence them...

i had a frieend that was trying even after i made her spend a couple nights with me and the baby to see all the work.

That's great but that's sort of side tracking the D&D. Not all teenager parents are parents because they tried to conceive. I got pregnant three times as a teenager and I wasn't TTC.

My point was directed at those who TTC- not who had slip ups. That's what I said in my first post.

Lol right. My point is that whether you TTC or not, you can still be a teenager mother and be against teenage pregnancy after the fact without being a hypocrite.

I guess to me its the same mentality... I was 21 when i had my 1st, my lil sister was 18 when she got preg we were preg sametime, and i was upset about her, she didnt start college, she didnt get to party, or move out, she went from highschool dance team, to mommy, i had no room to talk but i was done with 1 degree, i partied, i had my own condo, and car, i experienced stuff she never would...

Yep I waited till 14 wks this last time, I understand. Vi is getting so big (8 wks) & Carter will be 3 next weekend! Time flyssssss

I'm not speaking about simply caring for a baby. I'm talking about worrying how you're going to buy diapers, wipes, how you'll feed your baby. Trying to keep a relationship while this is happening, stressed out by a teething or colicky baby... none of that is easy for anyone.
