Because they've learned from their mistake. Maybe it's not okay for them, maybe they're struggling just to survive. That can make them realize it's not the best choice and advise against it. That's just one of many possible reasons.

I see former teen moms on here often bringing teen moms down,That is being a huge hypocrite.

It doesn't. It makes you a realist. You have better insight than most people to know that it's not a good idea to get pregnant as a teenager. Who better to educate teenagers about how teenage pregnancy will effect your life than someone who has been there before?

If it was a lack of protection on your part that resulted in a teen pregnancy yes, but I find it very hypocritical if you were a teen TTC(which the case is a lot now) & then you try to tell someone you're against it. You could support them no matter how it happened though.

I don't agree. People often don't realize their mistakes until after they are done.  . You can TTC as a teen, realize that it isn't all sunshines and rainbows then be totally against it as an adult. People do grow up and mature you know? There's no need for an adult to be in the same mindset as a teenager.

I think you can be a teen mom and still not support teen pregnancy, but I also think you can take it to the point of hypocrisy. Just depends on the person.

Yes, you can. Lots of people disapprove now of things they did in the past.

I was a teen mom. I got pregnant at 16. I dont approve of teens TTCing and I think they should wait before having babies. But if, say, my little brother was to tell me that he and his girlfriend were pregnant, I'd still support them.

Well, no one should support or advocate TTC as a teen. But if someone is already pregnant, honestly, what the smurf good will it do to tell her she's making a mistake? I see a lot of that on here.....I also didn't know there were so many teen moms before I joined BG lol.

I guess I was just in a whole different world and was very responsible. Having a baby before I was in a committed relationship that I could solely provide for the child never crossed my mind. I believe teens should already be smarter about trying to have babies- having babies at 23 is hard enough.
