re: taxes (education credit ladies)

i called the IRS yesterday. there was an error on our return. i dont see how cause we've used the same guy at H&R for 4 years now. bu they said if they need us to clarify something we will get a letter in the mail, if they can fix it on their own they will. now it could be up til april 25 for our refund  

although a BG mama said that the IRS' new software messed up a lot of EIC returns

Did anyone else receive thier return yet? Mine says the same thing about processing and will update. I have used the same guy for eight years and I normally dont use the education credit I used this year. This is the longest I have waited. Its been past the 21 days. I just want my money :-(

ours still says the same thing. (post above yours) i dont get it either...same guy for 4 years and now this. i looked over our return, double checking SSNs & the W2 amounts, all is ok. the only thing i dont know how to check over is the education credit form

I finally got in touch with them today and they said they sent me a letter tooo. Im interested to see what is in the letter. I have used the same guy for eight years. I think its horrible because i needed the return to pay my tuition bill. I told them that and they said they put in a request to see if someone will take my case but im not sure they will call. If not they said it could take up to 45 days. I just cant believe it took them this long and they only sent the letter out this week .

thanks for the article the person i spoke to mentioned how they had issue with them. the thing is i didnt do my return with h &R block. I have a CPA who has done my family taxes for years. Sad part if I so could have done my own I only went out of loyalty. Its even worse because im an accounting major. The thing is i reviewed my whole return and there isnt a single thing I can see missing ... ugggg

our due date was today (3/1  and it was loaded on our Emerald Card at 1am today! good luck ladies, it;ll be soon!

theres still tons. if you have FB, like "club 8863" its people who have/had delayed returns. theres tons of useful phone #s and even a lawsuit against H&R if you use dthem

no now i have to wait up to 4 weeks. they are going to mail it out next week friday
