It can go either way?

posted 11th Feb
I hear some women talk about the few days before they give birth feel good the sleep well, baby calms down with movements a little. They nest a little more, and then they start getting signs of true labor. I've also read of women where they're completely miserable. Can't sleep, don't want to eat, get sick, want to do nothing but sleep, and then start getting contractions and cramps to boot.

How was it for you?

With my second I was miserable but couldn't really sit still. I had a major increase in anxiety and I felt'like my intestines hated me.

I felt like that the past few days. But out of no where. Last night was the best nights sleep I've gotten since the beginning of my second trimester. I have no aches or pains. And I'm really well rested. I didn't know that was possible at 39 weeks, and made me think of what I'd heard, and read about women going either way right before labor. I haven't felt this "good" since my morning sickness faded around 25-26 weeks lol.

I felt normal until the day I went into labor. Both times, I'd just feel "off"--not necessarily bad, just different. I usually lost my mucous plug and had a bloody show in the morning (sorry if TMI), and then eventually lost my appetite by late afternoon/evening. I went into labor at night with both of mine.

Just like any other day for me. I was only miserable because she was overdue and I wanted to meet her soooooo bad! My system "cleaned out" that day though, that was my only indication that hopefully soon I was going to give birth

Not TMI   Details are appreciated.
I'm definitely ready for labor. but it just surprised me how well I feel today. Definitely not complaining and totally going to take advantage of it. Lots of cleaning to get done! Thank you for sharing though   all women are different, But hearing other peoples experiences can sometimes help me figure myself out.

I'm on two different medications that constipate me right now. So I've only been getting really bad IBS attacks. Like my body's trying but can't do it... Lol TMI. I'm not even grumpy about being over due/due today.

You never know! Your feeling good and urge to do some last-minute nesting might be a sign.   Hope it all goes well for you whenever the big day does arrive!
