moving

My husband joined the navy and leaves in april. I was talking to our 5 year old today and he told me a friend at school moved away. And i pointed out that we would be moving away like his friend after his birthday. Instant tears, i probably shouldn't of pointed it out and i feel horrible. How do i work him up to this? We are ripping him away from all of his family and our friends. He will make new ones and i'm aware of that. But i feel so bad. eh

You could try and get him involved on the process. Depending on how much time you have until the move you could see if he wanted his new room decorated different and let him help you pack?

Have months before then we should be moving oct/nov. So i have plently of time which is why i feel bad for even saying it.

You shouldn't feel bad. I think you did the right thing by telling him and giving him plenty of time to get used to the idea.

get him to help pack the boxes and stuff. always worked wth me and my sisters.
we moved 21 time from me being 1 to 20 years old.
he'll get over it quicker than youd think. x

yeah when it comes time to pack again he will help. Most of our stuff is packed and in storage, we moved home when he made the decision to join. So all we will have to pack is my room and his.
