Well I'm glad she wasn't there. IMO the first mistake you made was dating a guy with a violent past. Especially when you have a child. Secondly don't get the neighbours that aren't your friends involved. You should have called the police if he didn't allow you to remove your objects from the house. Cut off contact with him and move on. You don't need an abusive(verbally, mentally or physically) relationship.

I was just about to say that i figured because of all the smurf that happened that you left all the details out. It happens.
