Expired Desitin

Well I got a bunch of sample's of the rapid relief and the extra strength desitin from his pediatricians office. Well I just checked today and noticed that it has expired as of 12/2012. Is it really expired or more like a best buy date type thing? Just curious because I have a lot of them :/

I'd use them, i'm sure they're fine.

I think it's more of a 'best buy' thing. I don't think it will hurt anything, it just MAY not be as effective.

The main thing with medicine and things of the sort is that they lose potency, but seeing as the expiration date just passed, I'd still use them.

How long after the expiration date do you think I could use them?

eh...I wouldn't use them past the 6 mos mark...but I have no idea what the ideal timeframe would be.
