Do you have a bag or anything you use to keep your child's inhaler and other information with them? If so what one do you use. Also any advice?

for my daughter i use a ziploc bag with her name on her aerochamber with a clock that has the time she needs it and her teachers either give it if she needs it or they send it home with the clock back in the bag --- we just had a 3 day stay at Yale due to her asthma

Yea she doesn't go to daycare or school, but she goes to her dad's every other weekend. We just had a 36 hr stay at st. Louis Children's Hospital and she got diagnosed with Asthma. I know I want to put her Asthma action plan in the bag and her doctor's phone number and my work phone number and things like that

I don't have a child with asthma but I've had it pretty much my whole life. I keep my meds in a clear makeup bag that zips up that I got at Walmart. It works great for me.

Does she have any known triggers? A list of them might be a good idea to put in too if the bag ever gets sent to another family member or anything.

Bathroom cleaning agents is the only thing we know so far. She isn't allowed to be around anything that can be considered a trigger atm because she was doing every 2 hours of breathing treatments. We are to introduce them one at a time though after we get the all clear from our doctor to go ahead.

Thank you she is doing alot better. I'm still worried that her dad is gonna smurf with her meds though. /sigh. Why do I have to be so paranoid about that stuff?

Yeap in 6 months they said they can do an allergy test so yay? Ugh I'm already so tired of being tired from this. Then of course her dad doesn't understand he thinks I should just drop everything and give him updates. It doesn't matter that I had to run here and there and yonder to get her stuff but I should drop everything and hunt him down to give him updates since he doesn't have a phone. ugh!

We have a small back pack to keep his stuff. It's batman and has a red allergy wristband ( from the hospital) attached. Inside we have 2 inhalers and an air chamber. Plus the stuff he needs for his allergies ( 2 epi pens, and antishystamine)

okay that is kinda what I was thinking of doing for her. We have to wait for her allergy test (mainly for the referal). I'm just so ready to get all this stuff under control.

My son has reactive airway disease ,which is similar to asthma. When its triggered 95% he ends up with hospita stay. Last time it was three days, one of which was in icu. He has inhalers but has to have breathing treatments every hr to start then space them out longer. All his meds ,tubing etc are in a bag w/ directipns, emergency numbers

Can you tell me what the difference is? We've always just had it as asthma, but the wheeze is in his airway not lungs. ( well sometimes it was but all the hospital stays have been because its in his airway)
