DUE TOMORROW, STRETCH AND SWEEP?

hi mummies, i am due tomorrow and still no baby although i had constant contractions that stopped dead in their tracks but werent for nothing as i am dialating, i had a sweep and stretch today and am having some pain and when standing oh boy does it hurt, i was wondering who has had this done and how long after they went into labour if you did at all.... Thankyou

I had one with DS on a Wednesday and delivered Sunday. I was 4cm and 70% effaced if that helps. Lol

I got swept at exactly 39 weeks went into labor 39 weeks and 2 days. I personally believed bouncing on my yoga ball helped too. Good luck!

I had my membranes stripped when I was two days overdue and had my son two days later. The appointment was April 9th at 9 AM and I was in early labor by midnight on the 11th. It worked for me but some women don't have much luck with it, from what I've heard. I was about 2 centimeters and nearly fully effaced when mine was done, not sure if that made a difference.

I had mine done at 1pm on the feb 7th had baby 236am on the 8 th.

The studies that have been done on it have shown no difference, no benefit. But I hope you have LO soon.

Well thankyou for your replies, it has been a few hours off 24 hours and i have had cramping and still continuing to cramp and they are getting worse as the morning goes on, i do believe i have also had a bloody show and continuing too after previously losing my mucous plug and definitely feel as though yesterdays sweep has stirred things up, today is my due date so it would be nice to finally meet her and be one of the 6% or so that actually deliver on their due date........ i will keepp you all posted, if this does not work i will be having another stretch and sweep on valentines day /:
