Do either come with a warranty, that is what I would get if those two cameras were my options.
I like canons and that is what I always use.

The refurb comes with a full warranty. The used one has very little warranty left.

And I'm by far a Nikon girl. Canon's feel so cheap to me.

Then I think I would get the refeb because you never know what could go wrong, and that would suck so bad to not have a warranty.

Grats!

Personally Id go with the refurb. Do you feel like you need a battery grip?

And maybe the entry level Canon's feel cheap, but once you get up into the prosumer/professional levels its anything but

I have used a 5DMKiii before. I didn't like it at all! Lol.

But once I do this first wedding here in June, I want one for sure... But to buy it separately it's over $200.

We have a few canons and I have a mid to upper level one I use most right now that I absolutely love, the quality of the photos and video is outstanding. It was a little less than $2,000(with the lens)

I have shot with a Nikon plenty, I did a fun engagement shoot with one a while ago and the photos were excellent.

So I think it's really about personal preference because IMO both brands are great. I use to use a Nikon for a short time in the early 90's then when cannon came out with the 35mm rebble I one back in the late 90's and I have stuck with them ever since.
