Crocs really arent that great for an early walker with a developing foot. They offer no support. Try stride rite for early walking shoes they are specially designed for babies feet. Unless she is walking outside then dont worry about the shoes.

They still cover her entire foot, which she might not like. And if she's learning to walk its best to let her learn bare foot. Shoes hinder their learning to walk. I really don't think you need to worry about her refusing to wear shoes at 8 months. She doesn't need them.

This. And the natural development of their feet isnt hindered with shoes.

Socks or barefoot is the way to go. When kiddos actually start walking around outside the house you get soft soled shoes. Hard soled shoes are worthless and it hinders them learning to walk. Little kids fall enough when they are learning to walk, it's even worse when they have hard clunky shoes on!
