What's the process?

How can I get a small loan ($500-$1,000) ?
What is the process USUALLY like if Ido it through the bank?

It's an emergency and I won't be able to pay it back for about 6 months.

I don't know if the bank will let you borrow that amount it's usually 2k and up but call them.

You need good credit, a small debt to income ratio, and proof of income.

Believe it or not, they are less likely to give small loans like that.

Damn it.
Is there anything else I can do??

Get a bigger loan maybe and just use the left over Money to pay it for the 6 months you can't do it.

DH works as a credit analyst for a major bank. He says you can get a cash advance on your credit card, but the interest on the loan is usually around 24%.

Just call your bank and try see if you can. If not try a credit card.
