lights on or off?

posted 10th Feb
just curious how all you other momma's feel about this:

the other night me and SO were getting pretty frisky, so I leaned over to to turn the big ass light off. We have automatic candles in our room, so they're always on and I always have a few candles light. It sets the room and feels romantic with just enough light. So I always like having the lights off instead of big ass blaring light in our face while we're getting it in.

after the deed, SO started getting all serious talking about how he loves my body and it's perfect and whatnot. I put two and two together that he thinks I always turn the light off because I'm embarrassed or insecure or something. After I explained why I like the lights off, he just laughed and thought I did that because I don't like my body.

Poor guy gave me the cutest little speech. So, how do you other mom's like it? lights on or off? haha. weird question. I like them off with just the candles lit, it feels more romantic and sexy to me.

Lol I like romantic lighting. When I'm not pregnant, I love my body, I just don't like all the lights! I think it's sweet for him to try and reassure you, though.

Sex with the huge bright overhead light just feels wrong to me. I'm fine with lights on, no fear there, I just don't want to be blinded by the light.

I don't have a preference. I used to turn them off all the time with my ex because I did have body image issues. But with SO its different. We have sex during the day a lot of the time so there is no hiding in the dark lol.

that's how I am. Not that I don't mind the lights on, I just prefer them off.

and I know, I felt so bad because he tried so hard to make me feel better, and he had no idea. It was cute though!

same, even our bedside lamps are pretty bright. I'll be more into making sure I look sexy while I'm doing what I'm doing than actually getting into the moment if I have all the lights in the bedroom on.

Since DH is a Marine, we call my mom body the 'battle body' lol
I've got stretchmarks, a c-section scar, and the pooch, saggy titties...but I don't care, and neither does he. It's all part of me, and our journey together.

I like odd lights, like lava lamps or those electric-shock ones, whatever they're called. Or sunlight through the windows works too. I don't like the overhead light blaring in my eyes though. I only like candles if it's romantic, sappy, love-makin' sex though, not during wild 'n' crazy lol.

Usually off, especially when we're in the living room/kitchen/dining room. I'm always paranoid that the neighbors might see through our thin curtains lol. In the bedroom, doesn't matter

We're in the living room often, since it's the furthest room from DDs. We always have the light on there, and my neighbors get a good show. lol
