4 year old party ideas...
posted 10th Feb
So my daughter has decided she wants a fairy princess party this year. But now I'm having a hard time trying to think of a boys alternative for the loot bags. I first thought I can just do blue and pixies, instead of pink and fairies/princesses. But I'm having trouble finding pixie things. Any other ideas?

i buy the bags that match the theme. then buy little girls things for half and boy things for the other half.. they dont to much care about the bag aways. it just little wrestlers and skateboarder party toys.

Maybe a knight theme for the boys?

I would do knights and princesses. Make big cardboard towers for the princesses to stand on top of, horse brooms, that kinda thing.

The knights is a good idea! I might go with that one. Thanks everyone. It's not so much what goes in the loot bags, it's just more what is on the loot bags, I don't want to hand a little boy a pink glittery fairy bag. But if I do knights, then I can theme the boys bags that way, and do a few knight decorations. We aren't really going to have games, so I don't have to worry about prizes or anything.
That's another thing... do you think it would be ok to not have games? The place we are hiring out is a playgroup hall, so included in the hire of the hall, is all the toys, lots of ride on toys, and a cubby house. Plus they will have outside to play too. We are also going to have a face painter, and I will set up a craft table. The party will only be an hour and half, maybe 2 hours... so I wasn't going to worry about games.

Dexter's 1st birthday party was at a play place like that. They offered games, but the kids weren't really interested and just wanted to play . I wouldn't force the game issue, the kids won't notice, and will probably be happier without

Bella chose ballerinas this year, I've just don't ballerina stuff in blue and green for the boys. Decorations and tableware and stuff is still gonna be pink. But I've just done blue and green lollipops, crayons and balloons instead of pink and yellow, and a toy car instead of hair clip
