I am so excited, I am getting the aquarium of my dreams.... a 54 gallon bow front corner aquarium (shaped like a piece of pie).

The store I bought it from is amazing. So knowledgeable, and really care. One guy helped me for 2 hours straight picking out what I wanted.

Instead of risking cramming everything in my car, they are delivering it and helping me set it up. The light will actually hang from the ceiling, so they will install that, set up the filter (a canister filter, so a bit of work), and help me fill and arrange it if I want.


Should I tip these guys? The delivery/install fee was supposed to be $100, but since they initially misquoted me, they gave it to me for $80.

I was thinking $20 tip. Is this weird? Or appropriate?

I don't think it's wierd at all! It's just a "Thanks for all your help".

Just make sure they don't have a policy against tipping employees, since that is the case for some businesses.

I always dip the delivery people even if I pay for delivery.

I usually do $20 a person for big items.

I'm glad I'm not off them mark. It's such a gray area, but I do genuinely appreciate what they're doing and want to show it.
