Ugh.... RANT!

So, at 9:14 am this morning my son was born! he was so perfect and amazing, I had to have a c section because he was a breech baby.. It's now 4:30pm and I still havent got to hold him or see him... and its breaking my heart! They said his blood sugar was low... then an hour later they said that it was 50 so they was gonna bath him and see if it was good then if it was then they was gonna bring him to me, they never call me, so i called an hour and a half later they said it went to 47 that they are going to feed him again and see how its doing... they cant bring him in here for 2 mins and im right across the hall? They cant call me or anything? I would like to see his face... But no, i cant have that apparently and its pissing me off.

What?? That seems crazy to me.
I would tell them you want to try nursing him. Even if you really don't. You would think they would HAVE to bring him over to you if you wanted to breastfeed.
I'm sorry mama! Hope you get to snuggle your little man soon!!

It almost seems like she doesnt want to give him up!! and ya know, im laying here in horrid pain, and that just upsets me worse, i have cried and called and cried and called again and nothing.. idk what to do now!

they took my daughter for observation and said "she'll come back in 1 hour." 5 hours passed and they didn't bring her to me and kept making excuses. My SIL went up to the desk and told the nurse that if she didn't bring me my baby, she'd have put up with a sobbing mother. My baby was brought in and never left my side.

Aww congrats! I'd definately say something to them. They cant keep you out of the loop like that

Yeah, I would be yelling at someone. Everyone! Calling and calling! Is there anyone with you who can be your advocate? Just because you're in a hospital doesn't mean they can keep him from you... especially when he's probably just laying in a bassinet in the nursery being observed.

I'd demand my baby be brought to me, is demand to take to the head of the department. Is there anyone at the hospital with you?

My daughter wasn't having any issues, but they almost demanded that she stay in the nursery at night, so they could wake her every hour to feed her. I got out of bed and started walking to the nursery and they finally brought her to me.

Well you're his mommy! Of course you will be the most upset. I am so mad for you!
If it were me I'd be unhooking my monitors and not stopping until I saw my child. But that's just me. Maybe let your family know that you NEED them to speak up for you? I really hope you see him soon!

I'd be telling them someone better go get the baby for you, or they are all getting kicked out.

send someone (if you can) to the nurses station and have them demand to know what is going on. Tell them they will have to put up with a sobbing mother if they don't bring him to your room right now!
