I get the impression that you do have the basics together.

But I think one of the reasons these ladies are giving you flack is because in your attempts to prove that you're a competent parent, you're coming across a bit know-it-all ish. I know that the lack of parental approval among everyone else's doubts is discouraging and makes you want to prove the world wrong, but trying to come across like you already have all the answers is having the opposite effect. No one has everything worked out perfectly or has it all together.

They question you to help you to be sure you think of everything, not because they've targeted you to bring you down. Try looking to them for support and advice. Admitting that you may not know it all but are ready to commit to this and be the best parent you can will bring you a lot more support.

Hope I didn't come off rude. Just trying to help. Overall I think you'll do just fine. Good luck OP!

I see where you are coming from with that, it's just they ask me questions and im giving an honest answer, i know i dont know it all, and i will ask about what i don't know, but the way people come off trying to be 'supportive'' and make sure i have everything together is a bit harsh and discouraging.
You are not being rude at all!
I know not everything can be perfect and all worked out but i can try my best to make sure it is for my baby.

I definitely get it. People's natural instinct is to think that you don't know what you're talking about and it's very frustrating. Just keep your head up and your eyes on the prize. The road ahead won't be easy but if you're motivated and go into it with a good attitude, it'll be the best thing that's ever happened to you. Feel free to pm me if you ever need advice. I'm no expert but I'm happy to share anything I know

Link me to a thread where a 16 year old TTC is fully supported.

Didn't say by everyone. But more people then I would have ever imagined. There's usually at least 2 or 3 people who are all "you go girl" in a lot of 16 and pregnant thread. Definitely not saying I approve.

I'm just shocked OP is being questioned like she is one of them. At least she is a legal adult with financial stability. But meh. I guess it just depends on who is online.

Yea I went and checked out the teen pregnancy threads.
Ones like a girl scared she might be pregnant, and people are like you can abort or "take a stab at parenting"

I agree.
Excuse me here but... Call me old fashioned, why are all these girls TTC
when they're under the age of 20 and are not even married? -I'm saying this in a curious tone with a surprised hint of confusion. don't get me wrong.-
I mean if you're really ready to make a baby with someone -taking on that kind of commitment and responsibility between the two of you, then why not get married and skip all the drama and confusion all together?
